This website is an attempt to move a small mountain of records from paper (books) to an electronic medium. The main sources of records were:
Barnhart Family Record, The Family of Daniel Barnhart II (1765-1802) and Elizabeth Naff (1767-1805), by Josephus Edward Barnhart. This work was compliled in 1925.
The Daniel Barnhart Family is from Virginia. We know that other branches exist, but we do not know how the branches are related. A major objective of this website is to uncover links to these other branches of the Barnhart family.
For the technically inquisitive, the records are stored in an MS-Access database. ColdFusion is used to tie the web pages to the database. If you are interested in acquiring a copy of the source code for use in your own geneology database, contact me.
